Case History
Efficient air conditioning for VSystem's industrial expansion
In the heart of Modena’s Motor Valley, VSystem has expanded its production plant with a new warehouse designed to guarantee high technological standards and environmental comfort. The project entailed the creation of a fully electric air-conditioning system, integrated with a photovoltaic system on the roof, with the capacity to ensure optimal thermo-hygrometric conditions for precision machining on special alloys.
The extended area of the site, which spans approximately 1,000 m², was designed with a high-energy performance envelope, a solution that enabled the adoption of a heating and cooling system based exclusively on a heat pump.

Plant Versatility and Advanced Climate Control
The system consists of an electric heat pump, an air treatment unit for the laboratory and ceiling fan coils for offices and services, all managed through a central control system.
The distribution of air takes place through a series of micro-perforated channels, designed to ensure uniform temperature and comfort in both winter and summer. The plant is also powered by a photovoltaic field of about 55 kWp installed on the roof, contributing to the reduction of energy consumption and the optimisation of operating costs.
The new plant represents an efficient, sustainable solution that is perfectly integrated with the site’s architecture. The adoption of all-electric technologies, combined with the production of renewable energy, allows VSystem to improve indoor comfort and production efficiency whilst reducing environmental impact and operating costs.
