IKEA has chosen AERMEC for the Canary Islands
Aermec has the honour of actively enhancing the comfort of visitors to the IKEA store in San Cristóbal de La Laguna (province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife), in the Canary Islands.
The choice of roof-top technology is a must when it comes to air-conditioning in big stores and shopping centres, as it guarantees quick installation and reduced dimensions and costs.
Traditionally, however, roof-top doesn’t ensure the optimum comfort that’s the main feature of the most complete hydronic systems (chiller plus air treatment unit and fan coils).
In recent years, the comfort demands of visitors to big stores has grown enormously (the shopping centre is increasingly seen as a meeting place, where you go to relax), and traditional roof-top technology is no longer able to meet these new requests.
That’s why Aermec has completely redesigned its roof-top technology, coming up with the new RTX range that combines the typical versatility with the best air treatment quality and therefore enhancing the degree of comfort.
A choice that has received the support of the biggest multinationals, including IKEA: there are now hundreds of IKEA stores the world over that have chosen Aermec for their customers’ well-being.
In particular, we’re especially pleased to be “on Top of the Roof” of the IKEA store in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a wonderful city (a UNESCO world heritage site) on the charming island of Tenerife.
The IKEA store in San Cristóbal de La Laguna covers more than 5000 m2, and even includes a restaurant. The seven Aermec RTX-H units — the roof-top system with the latest heat pumps (for an overall cooling capacity of over 530 kW) — are now guaranteeing comfort and reliability for all the customers and staff at IKEA.
